Tsukuba is a city located in Ibaraki Prefecture, northern part of Tokyo. It is known as the location of the Tsukuba Science City,
a planned science park developed in the 1960s by the Japanese government. Tsukuba Science City represents one of the world’s largest coordinated attempts to accelerate the rate of and improve the quality of scientific discovery. It is also well known that Tsukuba is a garden city surrounded by nature, with many locations known for their beautiful cherry trees, including Mt. Tsukuba. Visitors climb or hike up Mt.
